UnumPay is a payment platform that connects with many major Payment Service Providers (PSPs). They offer a wide range of payment options from local to global, meeting different customer needs and helping to increase sales.

About Clove

Clove operates multiple dental clinics in California and needed an app to help promote their clinics and digitize the appointment booking process, allowing patients to book onsite visits online while also offering the option for virtual appointments.

The Challenge

Clove's existing app was difficult to figure out, with its key feature—appointment booking—being overly complicated. Additionally, the app failed to reflect the clinic’s brand identity. Clove needed a fresh redesign to make booking easier, improve how the app worked, and ensure it truly reflected their brand.

THE OUTCOME

Default Bias to Optimize the Appointment Process

To make the booking process faster and more instinctive, we implemented a default bias feature in the homescreen. We pre-selected common options like ‘office visit’, ‘exam and cleaning’, and ‘ASAP appointment’ to match usual patient preferences, guiding choices naturally for a more comfortable experience.

Easy Booking

Location-Based Options for Ease of Booking

By showcasing multiple Clove locations for patients for book appointments based on their preference or proximity, we kept convenience at the core of the design. To make scheduling easier, we added a variety of available time slots as well.

Health Hub

Centralized Health Information for Effortless Monitoring

With the My Health feature, we centralized all essential information, giving patients quick access to upcoming appointments, pending treatments, as well as active prescriptions. We kept the design minimalistic, so patients could easily stay on top of their healthcare in one organized space.

AI Assist

Instant Assistance with AI Support Chat

We introduced the Support Chat as a virtual receptionist, leveraging AI to efficiently handle basic inquiries like clinic hours and appointment scheduling. When more complex questions arise, it connects users with a human representative for a prompt resolution of all inquiries.

Seamless Billing

Simplifying Billing and Membership Management for Patients

The optimized account section allows patients to easily manage billing and payment, and add insurance providers. We made subscription management easy as well, offering Clove membership with benefits like regular checkups, including cleanings per year.

Doctor's Dashboard

Helping Doctors Manage Their Schedules and Virtual Appointments Efficiently

We provided doctors with an actionable schedule view in the Clove Dental Partner Portal, allowing them to filter their appointments by time periods such as "This Week" and "Last Week." It was designed to give doctors a clear view of their schedules, making it easier to manage their day while offering the flexibility to connect with patients through virtual appointments.

User Stats

The Impact

We made digital dental care accessible for older patients with an easy-to-use interface, simplifying both virtual and in-person appointments. For doctors, we enabled smoother workflow management and scheduling through the platform.
